Museum of Flight Digital Scrapbook Layouts

I've had these pictures for years, wondering what to do with them, then when I saw the new "Manmade" digital papers on Studio J I knew they would be perfect.  I so pleased with how all the layouts turned out!

Knitted Basketweave Infinity Scarf

This picture cracks me up, I was trying to do the Daffodil Princess pose that all the princesses seem to do for pictures and it just looks riduclous on me.  Anyway, this is a scarf I recently finished knitting for myself, I just love it!

The yarn has a bit of a tweed look to it which I really liked.  This is a close up picture of the basketweave pattern.  I love how it turned out!

We will be using the Typeset papers with a little added interactive element on the right hand page.

Crochet Hats for Beautiful Little Girls

I wanted to repost this because I got a picture of the beautiful little girls I made these for wearing them.

These hats were so fun to make and finished up pretty quickly.  I made four of them, one for each girl, in different sizes.

The hat for the baby is a little big, but I think they all turned out pretty good.  Don't these beautiful little girls look so cute in their hats!

Decor Cluster

I bought this "home" picture from Target over a year ago and just didn't know what to do with it.  It had a white background and the little red hearts in the words are what showed up the most.  I really liked it, but didn't really have any red in the house, so I didn't know where to hang it.  Then about 9 months ago I found the door knob plaque, I love the scripture that goes with it so I just had to have it.  But then I had the same problem as with the "home" picture, I didn't know where to hang it.  It was too small to hang it somewhere by itself.

A few weeks ago I had an idea, I went outside and took a picture of our house, printed it up big and in black and white.  Then I took an xacto knife to the back of the "home" picture and cut the back out, put the picture inside and taped it all back up.  I love how it turned out, but I was still unsure what to do next with it.  I saw the door knob plaque and it all came together.
I love creating "clusters" of elements on scrapbook page layouts and so I decided to create a decor cluster with these elements and hang it by our front door.  But I needed at least one more element and I thought some kind of a key would be perfect.  I shopped online looking at different kinds of keys and found this one that has the word "love" etched into it, it was perfect.  I put them all together creating my decor cluster and I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Cards for November Workshop

Here are the cards I made for my Card Workshop this month.  All products are Close to my Heart.

This one was made using the Remarkable Wreath stamp set, Sonoma paper pack and the colors Cocoa, Cranberry and Goldrush.  I used the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge for the circle and scallop circle.

This card was made using the Dreamin paper pack, the Blue ribbon pack, and the AP Seasons stamp set.  We used a fun technique using re-inkers on an acrylic block as the ink pad to create this watercolor look for the tree.

This card was made using the Believe paper pack and the November stamp of the month.  It has the star Milepost shape that was sponged Holiday Red then glitter added as well as a Shimmer Brad in Silver.

Mud Mt. Layouts

My daughter and I took my niece and grand-niece to Mud Mt. Dam Park during the summer.  We went a little crazy taking pictures, but she just is so cute, we couldn't resist.  I made these layouts on Studio J using the Elemental digital paper pack.  I love the new stitching you can do on Studio J, I think the sewn circles are so cute.  We really had a fun day at the park.

Flip Flap Title Layout

My husband "elfed" us (check out "Elf Yourself" on and I thought it was so funny I just had to take some pictures so I could scrapbook them.  I used Close To My Heart's Believe paper.

The title was made using the 4 x 12 Flip Flap.  I also added some hinges for an extra design element and put some more pictures under the Flip Flap.

I will be teaching how to make this layout at my scrapbook workshop this Friday.

Shadow Box Tray

I have had this Shadowbox Tray from 7 Gypsies for almost a year.  I couldn't decide what I wanted to do with it.  Then the other day it finally came to me, I have titled it "Free 2 B Me" and I filled it with pictures of me from when I was born to today.  I also added some fun little trinkets I have found such as the key that says "journey" and so on.  I'm pretty pleased with out it turned out.

Bouldering Layout

This layout was made with one of the Close to my Heart Magic idea book layouts.  I used the Dreamin' paper, Limited Edition stamp set, Milepost shapes (stars) and some arrows cut with my Cricut.

When we were in Utah a couple of my sisters took us "bouldering."  There was a great view on top of the boulders.  I put a couple of tag booklets together that are attached to the layout with a brad through the sheet protector and the layout.

The best part was when my daughter climbed up on a rock and her friend wanted to climb it too. Being much shorter than my daughter she needed help, so my sisters give her a hand.  I wanted to feature the pictures I took of my sisters helping our friend climb the big boulder so I used a small tag booklet with the pictures in order showing how she finally got up on the boulder.

I loved how the layout turned out, it just really makes me smile!
