Countdown Banner

I made this banner today to countdown the months until my son returns home from his church mission.  Today is his first official day, so on the 27th of each month I'm going to cut off a pennant.  There are 24 pennants as he will be gone for 2 years.
He is in Brazil so I put a Brazilian flag on every pennant except the last one, I put a US flag because he will be coming home that month.

It is pretty long and I haven't quite decided where I want to hang it yet, but I can't wait for it to get smaller and smaller!

Megan Takes 3rd Layout

I made this layout using the Close to my Heart Fanfare paper and using the Magic "Deck of Cards" layout pattern.

This was Megan's first Powerlifting meet and she got 3rd Place.  She ultimately decided that this wasn't the sport for her, but she still did a great job!
The fun feature on this layout is on the right hand page.  I used mounting tape under the four 3x3 pictures and used it only on the sides and bottom to create a pocket.  Then I made these cute "Bonus Material" little booklets that slip inside each photo pocket.  I think the layout is so fun and cute!

Cards for my April Workshop

These are the cards we made in my Card Workshop this month.

This card is made with the Sofia paper.  I added the Glitter Glitz to the umbrella and brad on this card and used staples to bunch up and adhere the ribbon to the card.

What I love about this card is the Canvas Button that is in the middle of the flower.  It was so fun to stamp on it!  The flower was made with the Close to my Heart 2" Scallop Punch.  The paper is from the Miracle paper pack.

I really love this stitched set then we used the Edge Distressor to rough up the edges and give it the appearance of fabric.  A Mocha Opaque pearl was put in the middle of the flower.  This is the Mayberry paper and Cocoa ribbon.

Match Box Gift Box

I've been wanting to try this box pattern for a long time.  It is on the Cricut Bags, Tags & Boxes cartridge.  I used Sweet Leaf CS for the box and wrapped it with the Miracle paper pack.   I stamped the little tag in Sweet Leaf and Cocoa ink.  I then used the CTMH 2" Scallop punch and cut out 3 in Cocoa CS which I got wet and crumpled up then put a glitter brad through to attach to the box.  I think it turned out really cute and it will be the drawing prized for my card workshop this week.

Adam's Birthday Layout

This is the layout I made for my son's 19th birthday.  I found this really cute digital scrapbooking kit on Studio J.  It worked up so fast and I think it turned out really cute!

Canvas and Fabric Pictures

These pictures are made out of canvas, fabric, ribbon, buttons and brads.  I got everything but the ribbon at Ben Franklin craft store, the ribbon is from Close to my Heart.  I saw some other canvas pictures at Ben Franklin that gave me the idea.  I had bought this fabric to recover my cedar chest and had some left over and decided to make the pictures.

Each picture has the same elements, the only difference is placement, the buttons and the medium sized ribbon flower (stripe, polka dot and gingham).  It was pretty easy to make, just stampled on the fabric, glued on the ribbon, sewed on the buttons and attached the ribbon flowers by poking a hole in the canvas and fabric to push the brads through and flattening on the back.  My husband doesn't hate them, so I guess they will stay there for awhile.
