Recently I found a pattern for chemo caps and I decided that making pink chemo or support (someone who has a loved one with or survived cancer and just wants to support them by wearing a pink hat) hats was what I wanted to do. This is my first pink hat and I think it is adorable. It is a knitted cable & lace slouchy beanie hat. Look for more pink, or Nina, hats to show up in the future!

My husband asked why I was making a bunch of pink hats and I told him because I was thinking about pink hats for Breast Cancer Awareness Month which is next month. My Aunt Nina died from breast cancer and I have been wanting to do something in her name for a long time but wasn't sure what to do.

I made these mini backpack boxes for drawing prizes at my card workshop. I used the CTMH Cricut Artiste cartridge to cut out one of the boxes at the 2" size and the mini envelope which I glued onto the front for a pocket look. I used the Scholastic paper and even created a little piece of "homework" poking out for a realistic look. I think they turned out really cute!

These are the cards that we made in this month's Card Workshop. This first card was made with the Moonlight paper, burlap ribbon, the September stamp of the month, Fall Favorites and our new alcohol markers. It was so fun coloring with them!
The second card was made using the Dakota paper (I just love the wood background sheet) using the Edge Distresser on all of the papers, I used two stamp sets, A Garden and Rugged Dude, to stamp the pocket and the flowers. I finished it off with pewter brads and the Durrable Studs.
The last card was made using the CTMH National Stamping Month Special double sheet stamp set It's Your Day and both CTMH Cricut cartridges (Art Philosophy for the banners and Artiste for the talk bubble and the notebook paper shapes). To create the moving forward look, just stamp backward several times without re-inking. Pretty cool, huh!

I went with my friend Crystal as a chaperon on our kids' Senior Trip to Southern California. It was such a fun trip, the kids had a great time and so did Crystal and I. Since she and her son organized everything, I wanted to make her a special thank you gift. I went through all of our pictures from the trip and selected ones that had her in them and made this little mini album. I hope she is loving it as much as I did making it (and I hope she doesn't mind me sharing)!

Last week I did a Mojo Monday card and I thought I would try it again today. This one didn't go as easy as last week, but I finally figured out what I was trying to do. I used the CTMH Stella paper and the Just A Number stamp set. I love the phrase and I think this sketch worked well for it!
Here is Mojo Monday Sketch 257:
