New Year's Cracker Box

These were the prizes at my Card Workshop this month.  I used the glitter paper from the Whoo's Your Valentine special kit and the Black Tulle to tie up the ends.  I just wanted it to look like a Happy New Year cracker and I think it turned out really well!

More Ribbon Storage

I have been helping a friend of mine organize her craft room and the other day I brought home this box of ribbon from her house to organize for her.  It was a big box of loose ribbon, but after I was done with it, this is how it looked.  I was amazed that all that ribbon actually fit in the medium CTMH organizer.  Doesn't it look beautiful?  It looks like a rainbow to me and I know my friend will love it!

Bags and Skewers

I had made these for some friends at Christmas and forgot to post the picture.  I got these cute little bags from Impress as well as the skewers, which I just love!  I stamped a Close To My Heart image and mounted it on the bags before adding some yummy treats.  I punched some holes in the bags then skewered them, I definitely need more skewers, I love how they worked and looked!

Ballet Performance Layout

My daughter got to borrow this cute dance costume for a dance her performance group was doing for some Christmas performances last year.  This particular performance was at a local senior center.  She just looked so cute in it and was really sad to have to give it back.

This layout was made using the La Bell Vie paper and I added a 4 x 6 Flip Flap so I could get some more bigger pictures on the layout.

Ribbon Storage

I saw this idea on Pinterest for organizing your ribbon and I already had these baskets and some dowels so I put it all together.  Things don't always work out like you would hope they would.  As you can see in the pictures the ribbon just keeps rolling out of the openings and just makes a huge mess.  I've been unhappy with this situation for awhile.
A few weeks ago I got the medium sized storage container from Close to my Heart and it has been sitting empty since then until I saw another idea on Pinterest for organizing ribbon.  They wrapped ribbon around pieces of cardboard and used pins to hold them in place.  I loved the idea and then looked at my CTMH container and realized I could put them in there.
I talked my daughter into helping me roll up the small bits of ribbon onto 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 pieces of cardboard and then I put the bigger rolls of ribbon in the open spots.  This container holds all of my discontinued CTMH ribbons.  It looks so amazing I think I need more containers for my other ribbons!

Flip Flaps for Postcards

Here are some postcards we got from my Mother-in-law and I wasn't sure how I was going to get them into my scrapbook without losing one of the sides (either the picture or the message) until I realized that the 4x6 Flip Flaps would be perfect.
In the first picture you see the fronts of the postcards and in the second picture you see the message side with the Flip Flaps opened, I just love Flip Flaps!

Thanksgiving Digital Layout

I just love the picture of Megan and Mia from Thanksgiving 2011 so I had to put it as my focus picture.  We had gotten out Megan's Bitty Baby for Mia to play with and she loved it and Megan decided then that was what she wanted to get Mia for Christmas!  I used the Olivia digital paper kit in Studio J to create this layout and it went together so quick, I love how it turned out!
