Thank You Box

How cute is this box, it was the prize that I gave out at my December Card Making Workshop.  It is about 2" in width and is made with the Wanderful paper.  I just love the polka dot lid and bottom!

Hey There Cupcake Card

This is another card we made in the December Card Making Workshop.  It was made using the December Stamp of the Month, Cutie Pie, and the Wanderful paper as well as Flaxen, Slate, White Daisey and Cotton Candy cardstock.  It was stamped using the masking technique and Slate ink.  We sanded the cardstock pieces (the Flaxen one was run through the Cuttlebug first with a dot embossing envelope.  The cupcake stamp was cut out and mounted on the card and then final touches were the mini staples.

Meant To Bee Bridal Shower

As many of you know, I had two weddings within a month of each other so I had two brides-to-be to do showers for and both we not really thrilled about having a shower focusing on them alone.  I got them to agree to a joint bridal shower and we held it two weeks after the first one and two weeks before the next one.  As I was looking at different shower ideas online, I really loved the ones using bees as their them.  So I came up with the "Meant To Bee" theme.  I started off with this banner using the discontinued Close To My Heart Buzz & Bumble paper.

I found some really cute things online that I created my own version of such as these chair signs.  I used the "Queen Bee" signed for our new bride and the "Bride to Bee" sign for the upcoming bride.

I'm not one for a lot of silly games, but I did want to do a few things as you can see in the pictures.  I think my favorite was the advice cards that the attendees filled out for each bride, they were really thoughtful and fun.

My niece made the beautiful cake in which she hand painted the Seattle LDS Temple where the weddings were being held.  She did an amazing job!

Both brides had a great time and got some great presents that they love, even all three red toasters!

Cutting My Acrylix Stamps

I really wanted to make this photo banner stamp curve on my card.  The great thing about the My Acrylix stamps is that you can easily curve them onto a block and create the look you want.

The only problem was I wanted the stamp to curve more than the stamp would allow so I decided to cut the stamp itself to create more of the curve that I wanted.  So I took a pair of scissors and cut between each little frame on the stamp giving it more room to curve as you can see it laid out on this block.

The great thing about being able to cut My Acrylix stamps, is that if I want the stamp to be in its original shape, all I have to do is place it on a block that way as shown in this picture.

This is how my card turned out, I used the Close To My Heart Wanderful paper packet, Black and White Daisy cardstock, Black and Crystal Blue ink, ShinHan Touch Win markers Peony Purple and Turquoise Blue then added the purple sparkles and sparkle black button.

Downstairs Wall Decor

This is the wall at the bottom of my stairs downstairs.  It has been a big blank wall for many years, but I have been collecting things that I wanted to put up there.  I finally felt like it was time to put some things up.

The key is the most recent acquired item, given to me by my mother-in-law.  I think I will probably hang a few things from it, just don't know what yet.

The picture frame with the four clips across a bar I got at Target a long time ago it was my first acquired item and finally figured out what pictures I wanted to put in it.  It is pictures of my daughter and son when they were little each with me or my husband.

The picture of Jesus Christ was given to me from my childhood friend, Jenny, who's friend had painted the original.  It is so beautiful and I just love His eyes which I recently found out from her that he painted them after her own eyes.

I found the "love you more" picture at Marshall's, I think, it is something that is said in our home quite often.

The last frame is a d├ęcor item from Close To My Heart and I have been so excited to be able to use it.  I asked my family what kind of pictures we should clip on it.  My daughter said we should put funny pictures of our family on it, so that is what I have done.  There is plenty of room to keep adding some pictures and boy do I have some great ones to add to it!

I'm happy with how the display has turned out, but I do think I will add a few more things as I come across something I know will be perfect for the wall.

Places in Hawaii - Freshman Year Layout

This layout is a bunch of pictures that my son and others took during his Freshman Year at BYU Hawaii.  Every time someone would tag him on FB I would copy the pictures so I could scrapbook them for him.  I used the Wanderful paper pack and assortments for the layout as well as making a title on my Cricut.  I also added the Washi tape arrows.  Even though some of the pictures are not great, I still wanted to include them on his layout.

Merry Christmas

I just love how this card turned out!  It is a card pattern from the Close To My Heart Artfully Sent Cricut Cartridge.  Then I layered different colors of cardstock on the inside of the card.  I added a Bitty Sparkle on the star and the 3D bow from the Artiste Cricut cartridge to finish it off.  I just love how it turned out!

Wedding Invitations

I made these wedding invitations for my son and new daughter-in-law.  They were fun to figure out how to make.  I used my Cricut with Cricut Craft Room to create the folder that held the invitation and inserts.  Then we slipped the silver ribbon around with.  I think they turned out beautiful!

2008 Misc Digital Layout

I had a bunch of miscellaneous pictures that I didn't quite know what to do with so I created a misc. layout.  I used one of the Studio J Express Collections and just dropped in the photos, added some journaling in different fonts for each area to help give them some separation and added a few more Stickease elements.  It was fun, I will definitely do it again.
