Stockinette Infinity Shawl

I was watch America's Next Top Model one day and Yu Tsi had on this awesome infinity shawl and I thought I just had to make one!  I used Size US6 needles and Cast On 288 stitches (approximately 72 inches in circumference) and worked the Stockinette stitch in the round until it measured 21" wide.

Stake Activity Days Art Journal Layout

I don't know if I'm getting better at the art journal layouts, but I did have fun making this one.  I got to teach a class at our Stake Activity Days event which was really fun.  After I glued the pictures onto the pages it took me a little while to figure out what I wanted to put on them.  I finally settled on some bling from the CTMH Black Mini-Medley embellishment kit.  I used my Liquid Glass to adhered the string of sequins and the metal charms.  Then I added some Gold Sequins and journaling stickers from some My Crush kits.  I think it turned out so cute and I'm feeling more comfortable with less planning on these layouts.

Cupid Valentine Box

This is the prize that I gave away at my Card Making Workshop.  I used the Heartstrings paper and the Forever In My Heart stamp set.  I cut the box out using the Close To My Heart Artiste Cricut Cartridge.  I finished it off with some Metallic Bakers Twine.

Putting Together a Workshop

I have been doing paper crafting workshops for a long time and I have quite a system down.  The first thing I do is plan it out, plan what stamps, paper, embellishments, etc that I want to use.  Then I come up with an idea.  I go to a lot of different sources for ideas like books, Pinterest and more.  Then I create my sample.  This is probably the part that takes the longest, sometimes what I have in my head and on paper just doesn't come out right and I have to start over.
The most fun is when I start putting together the kits.  This picture is from a few months ago, as you can see I layout out all the pieces before putting them into their bags.  I layout the base piece first and generally work from biggest to smallest pieces until they are all laid out and I can see that all kits have all their piece.  Then I bag them up for my customers to make all their creations.  I love doing this job!

Pocket Scrapbooking Album for My Missionary

As some of you may know Taylor, who has been living with us for the past two years, is now on a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  I thought it would be really fun to create an album for her while she is gone so that when she gets home she will have a completed album.  She sends me pictures each week in her emails and I thought doing pocket scrapbooking would be the easiest and fastest way to accomplish that using the photos that she sends.  I just sent the photos to print on my own printer, but I think I might try a few other options too and I will let you know when I do and how it goes.  Here is the first page in her album.  All the photos are 4x6 and I trimmed one photo down to 3x4 and then added some Picture My Life pocket cards to finish off the page, super easy.  I'll be sharing pages as I finish them so you can follow along with my progress.

You're Sweet Card

Another card from this month's Card Making Workshop.  This cute card was made using the new Vine embossing folder on my Cuttlebug.  The pattern papers are from the Heartstrings paper packet and the cardstock colors are Whisper, White Daisy and Cranberry.  I used one of the envelope templates from the Artfully Sent Cricut cartridge.  I added the puffy heart from the Chalk It Up assortments.

Thank You Pop-up Card

I am having so much fun with the new Close To My Heart Cricut Cartridge, Artfully Sent!  You can create some of the most fun and cute cards in a snap!  This is one of the pop-up cards and we made it in my January Card Making Workshop.  We used White Daisy, Crystal Blue, Black and Canary cardstock as well as some Black Shimmer Trim and Topiary Washi Tape.  It is finished off with some hand drawn lines and dots.
